Paper Plate Watermelon
Summer is the time for watermelons. Here's an easy project for young kids that is sure to make them smile. You can engage all the young crafters in a birthday party and ask all of them to make their own watermelon slice, which they can take back home, after the party is over.
Supplies - Paper Plate
Paints - Red, green, light green, black and white
Instructions
- Fold paper plate in half.
- Paint the wavy ridge of the paper plate green.
- Paint a smaller line of lighter green just inside of the ridge.
- Paint the inside of the watermelon red.
- Paint small little tear shapes out of black to simulate the seeds.You can also paste real watermlon seeds.
- Highlight one side of the seed with a splash of white for the effect.
